M is for Many Things

I can't believe my last post was Ash Wednesday and tomorrow is Easter.  I guess I am a little behind, but my life is a little wacky and crazy right now.  =)  I will try to do better, but I can't promise....

Now on with the post!

When I first started thinking about this post the first M word that came to mind was my mom.  For those that have been reading know that mom fell on December 10, 2010 and sustained a closed brain injury.  To date she has been in 6 different hospitals/rehab centers/nursing facilities.   She has improved a lot in the last few weeks, but she still has a long way to go.  We are picking her up in the morning for Easter brunch and to spend the day out with us.  This is the first time she has been out since the fall.  We will probably have a hard time getting her to go back!!

Now we are going to change gears and go to my next favorite M word.  Margaritas.  I love margaritas.  I absolutely LOVE Beer Margaritas!  My sister-in-law made me a beer margarita about a month ago and I fell in love with them.  They are super easy to make and are so delicious!  You just take one 12-ounce can of frozen limeade and put in the blender.  Take the empty limeade can and add 3/4 full of tequila and the other 1/4 of triple sec.  Fill the same can with ice and add to blender.  Blend until ice is crushed.  Turn blender off and add one can/bottle of any brand beer (don't use dark beers).  Stir with a long handled spoon.  Serve and enjoy!

M is also for Mani/pedi (thanks MR for the suggestion).  When life gets stressful a good mani/pedi will help everytime.  There is nothing better than having your feet and hands massaged.  I have tried to get Roger to do this for me, but he won't.  So that is why he has to pay someone to do it for him and I thank him for that!  =)

That leads to my next M word.  Massage.  I love getting a good massage.  The Massage Center at Dudley Square is my favorite place to go.  Although Kelly and I went to Spencerian College last year and got a massage from one of their students and they do a fabulous job and it's inexpensive!!

With Mother's Day right around the corner I hope my children read this post and know exactly what to get me!

My next letter is N.  I hope it doesn't take me as long to come up with a post as it did this one......until next time!
