I'm a BzzAgent

I know most of you are scratching your head and saying what is a BzzAgent.  Well, let me explain!

As you know, I love couponing and all things FREE, so when one of the couponing blogs posted about becoming a BzzAgent I was all over it!  It's the easiest thing to do and you receive FREE things to try!  I have already received two kits from them and my third one is on the way.

I guess I should tell you a little bit about becoming a BzzAgent.  You go on their website here and sign up.  They have surveys for you to take, so that they will know a little bit more about your likes and dislikes.  Then they will send you an email when a "campaign" starts to see if you would be interested in it.  If you are one of the lucky ones picked, then they will send you a kit consisting of the product they want you to try along with lots of coupons for that product.  After you have tried the product, you go back on their website and review the product, tweet about it, post on Facebook, write a blog, etc. to let people know what you think of that product.  You receive points for the amount of reviews that you do and the more points you receive the more campaigns you are invited to participate in!

This blog post is about one of the kits that I received.  Kashi Hummus Crisps Sea Salt and Olive Oil flavor!  I am familiar with the Kashi brand, but had not heard anything about the Hummus Crisps.  Well, let me just tell you these chips are delicious!!  They are light and crunchy and are healthy!  You don't feel guilty eating these chips!  A serving size is 27 chips with only 120 calories per serving!  Total fat is 3.5.  Fiber is 4 grams and protein 3 grams.  This is the ingredients list Chickpeas, Tapioca Starch, Kashi Cracked Seven Whole Grain Blend (Whole: Rolled Oats, Hard Red Wheat, Rye, Brown Rice, Triticale, Barley, Buckwheat), Long Grain Brown Rice Flour, Expeller Pressed Canola Oil With Tocopherols For Freshness, Cornstarch, Oat Fiber, Organic Brown Rice Flour, Sea Salt, Organic Dried Cane Syrup, Dried Onion, Organic Rice Concentrate, Soy Lecithin, Citric Acid, Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Organic Dried Parsley, Evaporated Salt, Natural Flavors, Organic Spice, Soy Flour, Organic Nonfat Dry Milk. As you can see most of the ingredients listed have organic in the name.

I am glad that I was fortunate enough to be picked to try this wonderful product and will definitely buy these chips in the future.

As always thanks for stopping by and spending

Welcome To My World

It has been almost 4 months since my last blog post and I am sure all of you have been holding your breath wondering when I was going to post again!  Well, you can now breathe easier because here I am!

I guess we have some catching up to do, but I am really not sure where to begin.....

As most of you know, my mom fell and hit her head in December 2010.  You can read more about it here.  Life as I knew it changed that day.  Mom is in a nursing home now because of that fall.  It left her partially paralyzed on her left side.

Fast forward to January 2013.  My dad was starting to get dizzy when he stood up and it was causing him to fall a lot.  He was hospitalized for a while and when he got out tall man and I moved in with him.  We still had to go to work, so this left him home alone during the day.  He fell one day and couldn't reach the phone and he was on the floor for several hours before tall man got home.  We took him to the ER because he was complaining of being in so much pain.  They kept him several weeks and then sent him to the nursing home for physical therapy.  Luckily, he was sent to the same nursing home that my mom is in.  He hasn't been able to regain enough strength to come home, so he is still in the nursing home too, but he doesn't seem to mind.  As he said, he has a roof over his head, three meals a day and snacks whenever he wants them.  He also has several aides that love him and wait on him hand and foot, so he doesn't complain too much!

Tall man and I are still living in my parents home and we have moved my sister in to our home.  For those that don't know my sister I will not bore you with the details (maybe I'll leave that for another post).  She has MS and doesn't drive, so she depends on me for everything.

So, there you go.  That's what keeps me busy most of the time and why I haven't been able to post much.  As I have said before, I am really going to try to post once a week.  I'm not sure what all I will post about.  Maybe a little bit of everything.  I still want to post some about couponing and dieting.  Let's just keep it open for now and it will be a surprise.

As always, thanks for stopping by and spending
